Juror Questionnaires

The use of written questionnaires to assist in the selection of jurors has become increasingly popular in the past ten years, and our firm has helped pioneer their use in courtrooms around the country.  Research and experience clearly demonstrate that potential jurors provide more open and honest answers in response to a written questionnaire than in response to judge or attorney conducted voir dire.  Attitudes and experiences, more than demographic attributes like race, gender or age, drive juror thinking and decision-making.

We design written juror questionnaires specific to your case that uncover detrimental attitudes and experiences.  We also assist the trial team in preparing arguments to persuade the Court to adopt the questionnaire.

We have developed a special abbreviated questionnaire format for use in Federal courts where the use of a questionnaire is uncommon. Our design is much more likely to be permitted by the court than a typical questionnaires, and it has been adoped as a standard format by a number of Federal judges around the country. We are also capable of using sophisticated technology to help automate the questionnaire review process in trials where the questionnaire is very long or the venire is very large.
