Jonas Jacobson, J.D., M.A.

Mr. Jacobson is trained as a social psychologist and an attorney with experience consulting on securities fraud, personal injury, and patent cases.

Jonas received his J.D. from Stanford Law School, graduating Order of the Coif (top 10% of the class), and his M.A. from the Stanford Psychology Department.  Jonas’s legal training focused on trial advocacy, negotiation, and jury decision-making and he competed on the Stanford mock trial team.  For his psychology masters thesis, Jonas developed a method to more accurately predict jury awards by statistically combining the opinions of multiple attorneys.

Jonas consults on the full range of case types.  He has expertise in designing focused research projects to evaluate and improve trial strategies.  He also is involved in all phases of jury selection, including design of voir dire and juror questionnaires for strategic advantage and assisting in trial with strike strategy.

Jonas has lectured on the psychology of opening statements for the Stanford Trial Advocacy Program and taught an undergraduate course at Stanford on the psychology of judgment and decision-making.  He is a member of the American Psychology-Law Society.
